new year

today is a new year according to the Muslim calendar
and everytime i'd be reminded of my lil Jacob, or Akob, as i like to call him
here's the story
my final paper was during summer school
since it was only 1 paper, i pretty much had lots of free time
so during this free time, i would be babysitting Akob while his parents go for their classes
amazingly, i was the only person Akob would stay still with (despite a lil crying spell now n then)
i always look forward to having him
he's just a sweetheart
anyways...during the the new year in 2000, my housemates n I performed a prayer
there were nobody else around, so we had no option but to simply leave Akob to sit by my side
i was kinda worried that he'd start missing his mummy & start bawling his heart out
but then again, i didnt wanna miss joining in the prayer
so, with tawakal, i sat him beside me
and MIRACULOUSLY.....
he never shed a tear
never uttered a single cry
but simply sit still!
at that time, i was truly humbled by God's powers
maybe God sent some angels to take care of him while we attended our prayer

so...that's a true story from me
something a bit different (^_^)
