when i was in high school, i joined this affiliation
i forgot what the name was...but it's some sort of pen-pal organisation
what u do is, u fill up a form, stating some details about the kind of pen pal u'd like to have
age, sex & country of origin
for a small fee, you pay to get an address of a person you described
that person, of course is also part of the affiliation
once you get the address, it's then up to you to start the letters coming
and just like you paid for an address, someone else would've paid for ur address
so...in the end, the least no of pen pal u get, is 2!

as for me...i got the address of a french mademoiselle
her name was Evelyne Chasles
she was my age, but she sure looked much much more mature than me
and she was very pretty
but we became good pen pals

and to my good surprise, i received another letter from Italy (my hometown, ahaks!)
the girl's name was Antonella Campanini
she was more fun
we exchanged lots of letters & pictures
and we also learned each other's words
her letters were never less than 3 full pages
she always had funny n quirky cartoons on the pages

Anto was different from Evelyne
which made the whole experience much better
because i got to know two different people
where Anto seemed outgoing & loud
Evelyne was reserved & quiet

i kinda forgot when did our letters stopped
or why
i guess it was one of those times when we were just too busy with our daily routines
i had much fun with them
even though they were far, but we became quite close
considering we only had snail mail at the time *lol*

i wish i could find them again
maybe i should try goggling them
yeah...that's a good idea
